Kappa Phi Lambda
Eta Chapter, est. 1999
Why Kappas?
Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is a multicultural Asian-interest sorority (but NOT Asian exclusive) that was founded in 1995 at Binghamton University. We are the fastest growing Asian-interest sorority with 25 chapters and 8 associate chapters nationwide. Together, we proudly stand for our three pillars: Sisterhood, Service, and Cultural Diversity. We aim for academic excellence and strive to become better and stronger versions of ourselves.
The Eta Chapter at Rutgers University was founded on November 7, 1999 by 13 passionate, strong and independent women who worked hard to establish a community on campus that would open up so many opportunities to grow, learn, and create timeless memories.
As an organization that seeks to promote cultural awareness, Kappa Phi Lambda holds the concept of equality in the highest regard. We are an all inclusive Asian-interest sorority and encourage every woman who shares similar interests to join regardless of her own cultural identity.
